Joanne Lorraine Messenger, 71, died Thursday, January 13, 2011 at her home. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 17 from 5-8pm and Tuesday, January 18, 2011 from 9am until the 10am service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. \ \ Joanne was born in Oil City, PA, a daughter of the late Roland H. and Eleanor Olds Blauser. She was the owner and operator of The Canteen at the soldier and sailors home in Erie, PA. She was a member at Johns Baptist Church and a volunteer at St. Dominic's Hospital. \ \ Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Ann Shreve and a half sister, Nancy Jane McDonald.\ \ Survivors include son, Roger A. Messenger Jr. of Clarksville, TN; daughters, Rebecca L. Hayes (Tony) of Tiptonville, TN, Patricia A. Keen of Florence, and Rogina A. Keys (Dewayne) of Florence; brother, Rolland N.
