Mr. Joe Perry Ainsworth Jr.

Joe Perry Ainsworth, Jr., 79, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at his home in Terry. Visitation will be at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 from 5-8pm and again on Thursday, October 24, 10am until the 11am funeral service. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park. Mr. Ainsworth was born in Hazlehurst, MS to the late Joe Perry Ainsworth, Sr. and Doris Melba Jordan Ainsworth. He was born a miracle baby, weighing 1 ½ pounds. Mr. Ainsworth served our country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era and lived in Terry since 2008, having come from Jackson. Most of his life he was a self-employed Plumber, who loved being out doors in the heat. He loved to feed his birds, cutting grass, SEC Football and thoroughly enjoyed retirement. Mr. Ainsworth loved spending time with his grandchildren and attending their events. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Terry. He is preceded in death by his wife, Marguerite Ainsworth and brother, Dale Ainsworth. Survivors include his daughters, Teri (David) Banks of Terry and Tricia (Jeff) Wilke of Brandon; grandchildren, Holt Banks, Frank Banks, Brent banks, Will Banks and Morgan Wilke; bonus children, Wesley and Robyn Banks and Lisa Sellers; bonus grandchildren, Kerry, Steven, Hannah, Madelyn, Turner and Gates.
