Mr. Joe W. Richardson

Joe Woodrick Richardson, Sr., 69, went to be with the Lord Monday, July 7, 2014 at his home in Water Valley, MS. Visitation will be 5-8pm Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Services will be 11am Wednesday, July 9 at First Baptist Church of Terry, with a one hour visitation prior to service time at the church. Interment will follow at Terry Cemetery. Mr. Richardson had lived in Water Valley for the past 3 years, previously living in Dublin, GA for 12 years and Louisville, MS for 22 years. He loved music-- playing and singing, serving as interim Minister of Music for years and was a devoted Christian. Mr. Richardson had worked at Bell South, Georgia Pacific and owned Atley Communications before working for Advance Drainage Systems. He is preceded in death by his parents William Atley Richardson and Gertrude Skipworth Richardson. Survivors include his wife of 22 years Sarah Eaves Richardson of Water Valley; son Joey Richardson of Port Gibson; daughters Gaydon Richardson Wright and Shannon Richardson both of Louisville and Maggie Jane Richardson of Water Valley; brother Rick Richardson of Terry and grandchildren Braydon & Colby Wright.
