Mr. Joe Houston Vinson, Sr.

Mr. Joe Houston Vinson, Sr, 71 of Brandon passed away Friday, October 17, 2014 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. Visitation is 5pm-7pm Sunday and after 10 am Monday at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Funeral services are 11am Monday, October 20, 2014 in Chancellor Funeral Chapel. Mr. Vinson was born in Chattanooga, TN in 1943. His parents are the late J. W. Vinson and Martha Varner Vinson. He served our country in the United States Navy and was a retired Jackson Fire Fighter. He retired from the Jackson Fire Dept after 21 years and held an associates degree in Fire Science. He was a loving father, brother and grandfather and friend to many. Mr. Vinson was survived by his family, his only son, Joe Vinson, Jr. and wife Autumn, four brothers: Mike Vinson (Doris), Bill Vinson (DD), David Vinson (Lynn) and Jay Vinson (Cindy).
