Jo Ellen Russell

Jo Ellen Russell, 63, a native of Memphis, TN, and former resident of Vicksburg, MS, and current resident of Eight Mile, AL, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2009.\ \ She had worked for the Alabama Department of Rehabilitative Services for over 10 years. She was of the Baptist faith and a very giving person who loved animals and reading. She was also an artist. \ \ Ms. Russell was preceded in death by her parents, Robert McClain Russell, Jr. and Frances Donnell Kimzey Russell. \ \ She is survived by her sisters: Jann Rice (Jeff) of Florence, MS and Sherri Spiller (Larry) of Huntsville, AL; nieces: Shann Worsham (Josh) and Suzanne Rice; nephews: David Spiller (Lisa) and Bobby Spiller; grandniece, Addison Worsham; many other relatives, friends and co-workers.\ \ Funeral services will be held at the Radney Funeral Home chapel in Mobile, AL, on Sunday, December 6, 2009 at 3:30 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:30 p.m. until the service hour. Interment will be in Florence Cemetery in Florence, MS, on Monday, December 7, at 2 p.m.\ \ In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alabama Head Injury Foundation or the Mobile Animal Shelter.
