Joey Byrd

Robert Joe (Joey) Byrd passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at his mother's home in Brandon at the age of 45. Visitation will be Friday, June 26, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home chapel with burial following in the Clear Branch Cemetery.\ \ Joey was born in Jackson and currently resided in the Clear Branch community near Florence. He was employed by U-Haul Company in the Jackson area as a mechanic.\ \ Joey is survived by his son, Joseph Byrd and daughter, Lindsey Byrd; and two grandsons, all of Water Valley; his parents: Barbara and Steve Criddle of Brandon and Jerry and Shirley Byrd of Ridgeland; three sisters: Cathy Hancock of Flora, Alicia Perry of Florence and Teresa Richardson of Richland; two brothers, Chuck Pittman, of Laurel and Mike Pittman of Brandon and numerous nieces and nephews.\ \ Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society
