Mr. John Hartford Jones Jr.

John Hartford Jones, Jr., 87, went to be with the Lord Sunday, March 25, 2018 at his home in Terry. Graveside services will be 2pm Wednesday, March 29, 2018 at Terry Cemetery. Mr. Jones was born in Terry, MS to the late John H. Jones, Sr. and Ethel Dennis Jones. He was a lifelong resident of Terry and member of First Baptist Church of Terry. Mr. Jones was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving in Korea. He was a Mason/Shriner and a self-made Carpenter by trade for many years. Mr. Jones loved the Lord, his family, his Bible, (which he read and followed on a daily basis) and his church. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of over 50 years, Helen Wheelis Jones and a brother George. He leaves behind his loving children, Stephen Jones (Donna) of Ocean Springs; Olga Lynn Brock (Kimble) of Terry; grandchildren, Kimberly Brock, Kameron Brock and Karlie Brock; great grandchildren, Griffen Brock and Gracie Black; his faithful caregiver and friend, Joyce “Jewel” and her daughter Traci Harbor, and many nieces, nephews and extended family. Memorials may be made to Shriner's Children's Hospital.
