Mr. John Thomas Wilson

John Thomas Wilson, 63, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2019 in Hattiesburg. Visitation will be 4-6pm Sunday, April 14, 2019 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Services will be 11am Monday, April 15 in the funeral home chapel with a one hour visitation prior to service time. John was born in St. Petersburg, FL and lived in Terry since 2006, having come from Monroe, LA. He loved gardening and cooking, especially for large crowds. John’s working career was in corporate sales and development for Empire Truck Sales where he enjoyed his customers and all people—he never met a stranger. He also enjoyed music, having great ability playing the guitar and piano. He is preceded in death by his father, James E. Wilson and brother, Benjamin Wilson. Survivors include his mother, Dorothy Wilson of Parrish, FL; loving wife of 40 years, Sue Wilson of Terry; daughters, Melissa Wilson of Baton Rouge, LA and Sara Keith (Dan) of Brandon; brothers, Timothy Wilson (Shanda) of GA, Edward Wilson (Kathy) of LA, David Wilson of FL and Paul Wilson (Mercy) of FL; brothers-in-law, Jay Shifflette and Dennis Woods; sister, Grace Sanchez (Steve) of OR; sister-in-law, Pat Wilson; grandchildren, Thomas Reed Keith and James Andrew Keith; many nieces & nephews; extended family, a host of friends and his faithful companion, his Schnauzer, “Ellie”
