John Joseph Woodall, known fondly to all as John, passed away peacefully at home on March 7, 2025, shortly before his 61st birthday. Born on March 9, 1964, in Jackson, Mississippi, John's spirit was as gentle and enduring as that of a big overgrown teddy bear—a soul overflowing with love for his family and friends.
He was a dedicated husband to his beloved wife Nicole, and a proud father to his two daughters, Julaa Stablein and Hannah Marshall. In their love, he found his greatest treasure, and he embraced his roles as a husband and father with an unwavering commitment that illuminated the lives of those around him. The warmth of a family man, John’s laughter and kindness resonated through every gathering, drawing his loved ones close like the arms of the bear he so resembled.
John’s loyalty extended beyond his immediate family to his treasured dog, Elko, who was forever by his side. He shared a special bond with his sisters, Cindy (Dennis "Cuz") Rasberry and Debbie (Richard) Annaratone, and he cherished his role as a mentor and friend to his special nieces and nephews, filling their lives with joy and guidance.
Swiftly following his family's legacy, John served his country proudly in the United States Army, stationed in Germany, where he exemplified service and dedication. His lifelong journey continued upon his return; he built a successful career as a Loss Prevention Officer for various Walmart stores, known among colleagues and shoppers alike. If you ever found yourself on the wrong side of security, you certainly didn’t want it to be John's vigilant eyes you encountered.
John leaves behind a rich tapestry of memories, woven with love and laughter, reminiscent of family gatherings filled with stories and joy. His absence leaves an undeniable void, marked by the loss of his warmth and kindness, but his essence will forever remain etched in the hearts of those he cared for deeply.
He is predeceased by his father, John Lewis Woodall, his mother, Maude Henry Woodall, and his brother, Jay Lewis Woodall. Together, they welcome him back to the embrace of eternal love.
