Mr. Johnnie Baxter Middleton

Johnnie Baxter Middleton,79 , passed away at home on Friday, May 17, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. Visitation will be 2-5pm Sunday, May 19, at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram and 10-11am Monday, May 20 at First Baptist Church of Terry, with services beginning at 11am. Interment will follow at Terry Cemetery. He has born in Raleigh, MS on June 22, 1933, to Sam and Mardell Middleton. After High School he went into the U.S. Air Force. In 1955 he married Catherine Shirley and together they had four children. Cathy Middleton Pitts (Florence, MS), Caren (Billy) Prince, (Raymond, MS), Cindy (Ron) Schoenfeldt (Fort Worth, TX), and Johnny (Joanna) Middleton (Gluckstadt, MS). He is preceded in death by brothers Rannie Lee Middleton of Raleigh, MS, Samuel Middleton of Sunrise Beach, MO, Charles Allen Middleton of Athens, GA and sister Doris Jones of Raleigh, MS. Survivors include wife of 58 years Catherine Shirley Middleton, four children, eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren, and sister Martha (Baby Jane) Harenza of Raleigh, MS. He was a member of the Pastors Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church of Terry. He enjoyed hunting, camping, traveling, and spending time with his family.
