Johnnie G Tillery

Mr. Johnnie G. Tillery, 79 of Jackson, passed away on May 15, 2023, and is now at peace with Jesus.  Johnnie was born July 14, 1943, in Andalusia, Alabama, to John and Beth Tillery.  He was a 1961 graduate of Clinton High School and attended Mississippi College.  Johnnie served in the United States Air Force which included a tour in Vietnam.  He had years of service in the Miss. Air National Guard.  He was a 32^nd degree Master Mason with the Capitol Lodge #600 and a Wahabi Temple Shriner.

Johnnie was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. John Raymond and Beth Tillery, a sister, Sue Tillery Blaise.

Johnnie is survived by his former wife, Lora Nell Tillery, brothers, Harry (Joyce) Tillery of Meridian, Frank (Mandy) Tillery of Maben; his children, Cheryl (Hubie) Renfrow, John (April) Tillery, David (Brandy) Tillery.  Along with those left to cherish his memory are his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Renfrow (Steve) Chow, Ross (Miller) Renfrow, Taylor Tillery (T.J.) Smith, Hunter Tillery (Evan) Gelston, Justin (Meredith) Renfrow, Sarah Tillery (Matt) McCurley, Grace Tillery, and Ava Tillery; great grandchildren, Harper Lynn Smith, Rylee Smith, Walt Chow, Charlie Renfrow, and Jeb Chow.

Services for Mr. Tillery will be held Thursday, June 1^st with visitation from 1-2pm and service starting at 2pm at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram.  Interment immediately following service at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson.
