Mr Johnnie Wayne "J.W." Herrington Sr.

Mr. Johnnie Wayne Herrington, Sr “J.W.” passed away Friday, June 2, 2017 at his home in Florence. Visitation will be Saturday, June 3rd from 5-8 p.m. and Sunday, June 4th from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Sharon Cemetery in Magee. Born in Magee, J.W. has lived in Florence for the past 18 years. He was a member of Paul Truitt Baptist Church in Pearl and worked in Real Estate, Construction, and as a builder his whole life. Mr. Herrington is preceded in death by his grandson, Jonathan Ray “J.R.” DeWolf and two great grandchildren, Clyde and NaeNae Saulters J.W. is survived by his wife of 55 years, Linda Herrington of Florence; daughter, Joyce (Butch) DeWolf of Florence; sons, Billy Herrington of Florence and Johnnie (Sharon) Herrington, Jr. of Pearl; brothers, Dale Herrington of Jackson; sisters, Merle Ingram of Pearl and Marilyn Hughes of Magee; and the loves of his life, his grandchildren, Stacy (Billy) Saulters, Misty Pourteau, Jennifer DeWolf, Heather DeWolf, Randy Herrington, Dusty Herrington and Rusty Herrington; great grandchildren, Bentley DeWolf, Parker Herrington, Saphira Troney, and Marcus Herrington; and numerous nieces and nephews.
