Mr. Johnny Fritz Bracy

Johnny Fritz Bracy, 68, passed into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson surrounded by his family. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, September 3rd from 1:00 p.m. until the 3:00 p.m. Funeral Service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence, MS. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories. Johnny was born October 22, 1952 in Portsmouth, VA to Leon and Solveig Bracy. A Vietnam Veteran, he served his country proudly in the U.S. Marines as well as in the U.S. Army. He loved working with and for Veterans. Johnny married the love of his life, Penelope Bracy in the chapel of the VA Hospital. He loved his family, especially his children. He loved music and was an avid guitar player. He was known to be sarcastic and enjoyed telling jokes. He was also very generous. He enjoyed watching hummingbird and squirrels play out his front door. Johnny is preceded in death by his father, Leon Bracy. He is survived by his mother, Solveig Bracy of South Carolina; his wife of 31 years, Penelope Bracy of Florence, MS; daughters, Brandy Day of Flora, Lindsay (Chris) Collette of Florence, and Anna (Jarrod) May of Florence; sons, Justin Bracy of Florence and Logan Bracy of Florence; brother, Timothy Bracy of South Carolina; grandchildren, Karley and Tyler Birdwell, Aniston, Piper, Willa, Baker, Stella and Ivy Collette, and Kacen May.
