Johnny Guidry

Clifton John "Johnny" Guidry, 72, passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Community Place Nursing Home in Jackson. Visitation will be Saturday, April 28, 2012 from 2pm until the 4pm graveside service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence in the Garden of Memories. \ \ Johnny was born in Lake Charles, LA on September 9, 1939 to the late Clemence Guidry and Cora Arabie Guidry. He was a welder by trade and enjoyed fishing, listening to French music and dancing. \ \ He was preceded in death by his parents, Clemence and Edna Mott Guidry and Cora Arabie; brothers, Clemence Guidry, Jr., Willie Guidry, Harvey Guidry, and Sam Gary; and sisters, Cecile Perusser and Louella Blanchard. Left behind to cherish his memory are his daughters, Tina (Greg) Davidson, Angela (Jackie Wayne) East, Monica (Byran) Cochran, and Amanda (Marcus) Rodgers; grandchildren, Cori, Hannah, Doci, Vinnie, Kimberly, Collin, and Heidi; three brothers, Russell Guidry, Carbert Guidry, and Drozen Gary; and five sisters, Rose Lambert, Edna Melgoza, Joyce Benoit, Lena Rodriquez, and Louanna Deshotel. \
