Johnny Earl Stewart, 80, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2020 at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson. There will be a Graveside Service Saturday, December 19th at 1:00 p.m. at Glenwood Memorial Park in Richland. Johnny was born March 26, 1940 in Carthage, MS to the late Preston and Bennie Stewart. He has lived in the Florence and Richland areas for the last 40 years. He worked as a home builder for many years, and he loved his work. He enjoyed playing his piano, riding motorcycles, camping and traveling, but above that, he loved his family! He was father to five girls, whom he loved dearly, as well as his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Along with his parents, he is also predeceased by his wife Carolyn Patricia Newsome Stewart; three sisters and three brothers. He is survived by his daughters, Angie Barlow of Florence, Cindy Loftin (George) of Florence, Stephanie Gatlin (Robbie) of Madison, Sheila Blackmon (Joe) of Florence, and Ashley Bagwell (Justin) of Pearl; grandchildren, Wendell Barlow, Crystal Sanford, Victoria Hemphill, Andy Gatlin, and Kaylee Maria Bagwell; great grandchildren, Caroline Sanford, Dalton Jones, Ella Grace Sanford, Axel Barlow, and Charlie Hemphill; six siblings, Pauline, Margaret, Patsy, Leon, Evon, and Preston; and his dog and favorite companion, Buddy.
