Jordan Strength, 29, went to be with the Lord on June 16, 2020. Visitation will be Saturday, June 20 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the memorial service at 3:00 p.m. Jordan was born to Shawn Strength and Sara Pooler Shelton on May 11, 1991 in Leslie, Arkansas. A long-time resident of Clinton, he graduated from Clinton High School in 2009. Baptized in the Christian faith, he loved the Lord and was a member of DaySpring Community Church. An avid outdoorsman, Jordan liked to spend his time hunting and fishing. His adventurous spirit was inspired by anything fast and he loved being around cars, skateboards, and bikes and had aspired to go to Italy to work on Ferraris. He also enjoyed drawing and cheering on his favorite team, Ole Miss. Along with being a loyal friend, he was smart, witty, and full of personality. He never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his grand-father, William “Bill” Strength. He is survived by his father, Shawn Strength of Byram; mother, Sara P. Shelton and step-father, Marc Shelton of Clinton; grandparents, Pennie Van Brocklin, David Pooler, Linda Fanella, Sheryl Sprinkle, and Larry Shelton; sisters, Tessa (Mason) Carter of Bentonia, Shelby (Nason Wise) Strength of Byram, and Hannah Shelton and Evie Shelton, both of Clinton; niece, Charleigh Kate Carter; extended family and a host of friends.
