Mr. Josh "Legend" Smith

Joshua “Legend” Kelly Smith, 27, passed away Monday, October 26, 2020 at his home in Florence, MS. The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, October 29th from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Rexford United Methodist Church. There will be a Graveside Service at 12:00 p.m. at Rexford UMC Cemetery. Josh was born July 23, 1993 in Jackson and was a lifelong resident of Florence where he was a member of Rexford United Methodist Church. He worked as a mechanic at Performance Diesel. He considered himself to be a “Legend”. When he wasn’t working, he loved to go hunting and fishing. Josh is preceded in death by his grandfather, Colon Smith. He is survived by his father, Kelly Smith of Florence; his mother and step father, Amy and Dwayne Malley of Florence; sisters, Renee Alvis of Florence, Hannah Smith of Florence, and Morgan Malley of Hattiesburg; grandparents, Larry and Evelyn Harper, Carol Smith, and Betty Malley; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins that loved him dearly. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in honor of Josh.
