Mrs. Joyce Foster, Mrs. Joyce E. Foster, 85 died at her home with her family at her side on January 15, 2010. Family and friends will gather Monday, January 18, 2010 from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. celebration of her life at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence.\ \ Mrs. Foster, a native of London, England came to this country as a wife of an Air Force soldier. She travelled with her husband while he was in the military. She and her husband returned to Jackson, MS in 1960 and she received her US citizenship in 1990. She was employed with several stores in Jackson as a sales associate and buyer for various departments. She was a member of Marvin United Methodist Church.\ \ She was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Gilkes; brother, Alf Luff, sister, Lucy Spencer and son-in-law, Larry Akers.\ \ She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert "Red" Foster of Florence; daughters: Janet (John) Berch of Florence, Carolyn (Paul) Magee of Birmingham, AL and Susan L. Akers of Cheyenne, OK; sisters: Georgine Gilkes of Twickenham, England and Margie (Rod) Jackson of Staines, England. She was loved and known as "Nana" by her 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.\
