Mr. Judge Tyson Prestwood Sr.

Judge Tyson Prestwood, Sr. passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 in Jackson, MS. He was 86 years old. A memorial service will be held at a later date. A resident of Terry, MS for most of his life, J.T. was born in Andalusia, Alabama on June 6, 1935 to James Prestwood and Voner Randall Prestwood. He was employed as a dispatcher and patrolman for the Jackson Police Department. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and woodworking. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Franklin D. Prestwood and sister, Sarah Cole. He is survived by his son, Judge Prestwood, Jr. (Susan) of Terry; grandchildren, Brentley Prestwood of Byram and Morgan Prestwood and Tyler Prestwood, both of Terry; great-grandchildren, Audrey Grace Prestwood, Josie Tyler Prestwood, and Adrienne Brook Holifield; and sister, Mildred Wilson of Cove Sound, FL.
