Judy Massingill

Judy Gail Massingill passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022 in Byram, MS. Visitation will be held at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, MS on Tuesday, June 07, 2022 from 5:00 p.m.--8:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow at Albertville Memorial Chapel in Albertville, AL on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Albertville Memorial Cemetery.

She was 72 years old. She was born July 22, 1949 in Gadsden, AL to the late James and Queenie Allen Bridges. Judy was an excellent cook, she enjoyed working flowers and loved to grow a garden. She volunteered at the school and was a homeroom mom. Judy adored her family, she doted on her two sons and she loved her grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who will be greatly missed by those who knew her.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, David Massingill of Jackson, MS; her sons, David Massingill, “Jr.” (Penny) of Ardmore, AL and Robert Massingill of Union Grove, AL; grandchildren, Ian, Leela and Jackson Massingill; great grandchild, Layla Hill; three brothers, Donald Bridges of Gadsden, AL, Kenneth Bridges (Ann) of Glencoe, AL and Gerald Bridges, also of Glencoe, AL and ten nephews and nieces.
