Judith O. Temple, lovingly known as Judy, passed away on September 27, 2024 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Born on December 28, 1956, in Jackson, Mississippi, she lived a life filled with kindness, warmth, and an unwavering love for her family. Judy was more than just a dedicated Advertisement Manager, having worked with major networks such as WJTV and Fox 40 News in Jackson; she was a beacon of support and joy in the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Judy had a gentle spirit that made everyone feel welcomed and valued. She cherished her family above all else, demonstrating that her true happiness lay in the simple act of being together. "Everything was FAMILY," friends would say, and it could not have been truer. If you were to find 'Family' in the dictionary, surely her picture would be right beside it. Her love was epitomized in her roles as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
She leaves behind a loving family that includes her devoted husband, William G. Temple, Jr., her son, Julian Joseph Temple, and her daughter, Linda Gayle Brown (Michael Brown). Judy was proud to be a grandmother to Nathan Lee Brown, Mabry Renee Temple, and Julian Jacob Temple, each of whom carried a piece of her heart with them. She also shared a special bond with her brother, James A. Odom (Jennifer), who held cherished memories of their shared childhood.
Judy is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Julian S. Odom and Linda Fox Odom, and her siblings—Jimmy Lee Odom and Jerri Lynn Odom—who await her in eternal peace. Their memory remains etched in her heart, shaping the person she was and the legacy she leaves behind.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Judy's life during visitation on October 1, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence, Mississippi. The day will conclude with Judy's burial at the Garden of Memories following the service.
Judy Temple's legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to family will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who knew her. May her memory be a constant reminder of the importance of family and the bonds that hold us together.
