J.W. Spencer, 91, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2010 at VA Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be 5-8pm Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Services will be 10am Wednesday in the funeral home chapel followed by interment at Woodlawn Cemetery in Summit, MS at 1pm.\ \ Mr. Spencer was a native of Jackson having worked for Brooks Noble/NAPA as a part man. He was a U.S. Army Veteran during the Korean Conflict and member of Daniel Memorial Baptist Church.\ \ He is preceded in death by his parents Joe & Flora Smith Spencer and wife Katherine Cowart Spencer. \ \ Survivors include his son Joe Spencer of Jackson and brother Jack Spencer of Aberdeen.\
