Mr. Karl Wesley Summers

Karl Wesley Summers, 88, passed away Monday, April 11, 2016 at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. A Memorial Service will be held at 11am Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Raymond Road Baptist Church, with a one hour visitation prior to service time at the church. Mr. Summers was a lifelong resident of Jackson and longtime member of Raymond Road Baptist Church. He served in U.S. Army and Air Force during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. Photography was his passion, retiring from McDonald Graphics. He also loved traveling, gardening and music. Mr. Summers was a loving husband, father and friend. He is preceded in death by three children, Karlyn, Phillip and Paul; parents Gambrel and Lois Harrell Summers; siblings Garth and Bracey Summers. Survivors include his loving wife of over 54 years, Doris Stewart Summers of Byram; son David Summers of Byram; daughter Dawn Summers and husband Kerry Gagnon of Memphis.
