Katherine Faye Jones

Katherine Faye Jones, age 84, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday morning, July 31, 2022.

Faye was born to James and Janie Meadows on February 08, 1938 in Magee, Mississippi. She was happily married to the late James Harold Jones for 44 years. Faye was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Byram, MS. She was involved in the Friendship Sunday School Class, Golden Gleamers, the Choir, and the Women’s Missionary Union. Faye retired from Miller’s Transporters of Clinton, MS.

Faye was a Godly woman who loved her Savior, the Lord Jesus, with all her heart, and she was faithful to God’s Word. Her unwavering faithfulness to her Lord set an example for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren that will lead them all their lives.

Faye was preceded in death by her husband, James Harold Jones; father and mother, James and Janie Meadows; brothers, Luther, James, and Richard Meadows; and son, Randy Jones; She is survived by her children, Deborah Sykes (Tommy), Robby Bush (Janet), Van Jones (Stephanie), and James Victor Jones (Bobbie); grandchildren, Beckey Holifield (Michael), Alicia McCraw (Ricky), Stephen Bush (Keely), Leah White (Kory), Daniel Bush, Alex Rushing (Garrett), and Kaela Jones; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Peyton, Anna, Abigail, Andrea, Audrey, Isaac, Asher, Madison (Joe), Samantha (Hunter) and Jonathan; great-great grandchildren, Britton, Wren, and Lindsey; sister-in-law, Marilyn Meadows; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at 9:00 am with a service starting at 11:00 am at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, MS with Reverend Carl Prewitt and Pastor Chris Teasley officiating. A graveside burial will follow at Mendenhall City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ethan Holifield, Peyton Holifield, Stephen Bush, Daniel Bush, Kory White, and Garrett Rushing.
