Kathy Partridge Cox

Kathy Partridge Cox, 64, passed away at her home on August 26, 2023, in Flora, MS. She was 64.

A 1976 graduate of Forest Hill High School and 1978 graduate of the ASN program at Hinds Community College, Mrs. Cox fulfilled her lifelong dream of becoming a registered nurse. She spent over forty years in private and hospital practice. During her time at Merit Health, Mrs. Cox received several commendations for her service, including Nurse of the Year awards. She was dedicated to her fellow nurses, doctors, and—most important to her—countless patients. She was beloved in return.

More than all of her professional accomplishments, Mrs. Cox loved her family and friends. She was known for her larger-than-life laugh and razor-sharp wit. She loved being Mom to her children and Nana to her grandchildren, winning money at casinos, hosting pool parties for the family, spoiling everybody at holidays, and cuddling with her three “puppies.”

Mrs. Cox was proceeded in death by her parents, Jack and Hughleen Partridge. She is survived by her husband Paul, brother Keith (Leigh) Partridge, daughter Lacey (Jonathan) Huddleston of Madison, sons Hunter Harris of Monroe, LA, and Chandler (Star) Harris of Utica, five grandchildren, and a legacy of kindness and caring towards all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life service will be at First Baptist of Flora on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 with Visitation beginning at 6 pm and the Service beginning at 7 pm.
