Kenneth “Ken” Edward Singley, 72, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2015 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. Visitation will be 6-8pm Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, MS. An additional Visitation will begin at 12pm until the 1pm Funeral Service on Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Purvis, MS. Interment will follow the service at Baylis Chapel Cemetery in Columbia, MS. Ken was a longtime resident of Jackson and a member of the Protestant Faith. He was a retired Master Sergeant who continued his service in the National Guard. A mechanic by trade he was the territorial manager for Buhler Industrial. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Carolyn Singley; sons, Hal (Paula) Singley of Purvis, and Billy (Jody) Tharp of Louisiana; daughters, Lisa (Ben) Burge of Kosciusko, Rhonda Guillory of Pearl, and Tracy Bowen of Alabama; brothers, Allen (Betty) Singley of Columbia, and James (Judy) Singley of Columbia; 9 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; Mr. Singley also leaves behind his loving companion, his Boston Terrier, “Slash.”
