L.C. Gosa, 91 , passed away Friday, December 11, 2015 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. Visitation will be 6-8pm Sunday, December 13, 2015 and 9:30am until the 10am funeral service Monday, December 14, 2015, all at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Graveside services will be 3pm Monday at Oddfellows Rest Cemetery in Aberdeen, MS. Mr. Gosa was a native of Aberdeen, MS , living in Clinton since 2009. He was a Veteran and POW of the U.S. Army, serving in WWII as a medical technician with the 47th Field Hospital, 1st platoon. Mr. Gosa served in five theaters while in Europe receiving five Bronze Battle Stars, Good Conduct Medal, Meritorious Award and WW II Victory Medal. He retired from General Motors as a technician and he enjoyed fishing, football games and loved to travel. He was a member of Sterling Baptist Church in Caseyville, IL, where he was a former Deacon. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of over 69 years Nadeen Gosa and brother Willard Gosa. Survivors include his sons Duane (Linda) Gosa of Byram and Billy (Kathy) Gosa of Kansas; sister Evelyn McConnell of Holt, MI; five grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made the Wounded Warriors of America.
