Mr. Lamar Braswell

Thurman Lamar Braswell, 58, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson. Visitation will be11am-1:30pm Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram followed by graveside services at 2pm at Terry Cemetery. Mr. Braswell lived all his life in Terry. He was an automotive mechanic who enjoyed helping others, was independent and an avid fisherman. His dog Gracie was his faithful, constant companion, accompanying him wherever he went. He was a member of Byram Baptist Church. Mr. Braswell is preceded in death by his father Thurman Braswell. Survivors include his wife of 38 years Kay Braswell of Terry; mother Carolyn Braswell of Terry; son Tony Braswell of Terry; brothers Wesley (Debbie) Braswell of Raymond and Todd (Lori) Braswell of Terry; sisters Ann (James) Kilpatrick of Terry and Susan (Joe) Johnson of Byram; sister-in-law Teri (Alvis) Starkey of Crystal Springs and a number of nieces and nephews.
