Larry Kirton

Larry Ellzey Kirton, Sr., 67, of Terry, passed away on July 19, 2011. Visitation will be Thursday, July 21 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Funeral Services will be Friday, July 22 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with a one hour visitation prior to the service.\ \ Larry was born on May 21, 1944 in McComb, MS and was a graduate of Terry High School. He attended Mississippi State University and served in the Air National Guard. He farmed for many years and loved hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. After retiring from Gulf States Canners, he enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. Larry will be remembered for his generous heart, his infectious laughter, and the love he had for his family and his farm. \ \ He leaves his wife, Barbara Kirton; his children, Dena Lundberg (Chris) of Clinton, MS and Larry Kirton, Jr. (Courtney) of Hernando, MS; his sister, Kay Whitehead of Terry; and his grandchildren, Owen Lundberg, Nolan Lundberg, Georgia Kirton, Kristen Kirton, and Caitlin Kirton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Dorothy Kirton, and his brother, Major Kirton. \ \ In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society. \
