Mr. Larry Eugene Richardson

Mr. Larry Eugene Richardson, 71, passed away at his home in Florence, MS on Saturday, December 14, 2019. There will be a visitation on Tuesday, December 17, 2019, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence, MS. On Wednesday, December 18, 2019, at 10:30 am there will be a graveside funeral service at Mt. Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Florence, MS. Larry was born October 6, 1948 to the late Spurgeon and Christine Branning Richardson. In 1968 Mr. Richardson married the love of his life, Betty Jane Bethany. For fifty-one years he has been a deeply devoted and loving husband. Along the way, his love and devotion extended to his three daughters and then to his six grandchildren. Mr. Richardson retired from United Parcel Service after thirty-one years of serving as a driver. He was inducted into the UPS Circle of Honor for mileage that would circle the earth forty times without an accident. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening, and served proudly in the United States Navy in Vietnam as a Radarman. Mr. Richardson is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Betty Richardson of Florence, MS; his daughters, Christy (Bobby) Little of Utica, Kelly Richardson of Florence, and Bethany (Greg) McLendon of Florence; his brothers, Charles Richardson of Flora, and Jimmy Richardson of Starkville; his sisters, Betty Johnson of Bentonia and Pam Ferris of Madison; and seven grandchildren, Emerson (Valiree), Ryder, Laice, Britt, Hunner, Brannon, and Lilly.
