Larry Claude Wallace, 70, died Monday, July 25, 2011 at his home in Raymond. Visitation will be 4:30-8:00pm Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Services will be 11am Thursday, July 28 in the funeral home chapel.\ \ A native of Carthage, Mr. Wallace moved to Jackson in 1961. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, retired as Captain with the Jackson Police Department after 28 years of service, and retired as Major after 17 years with Hinds County Sheriffs Office. He was past President of the MS Law Enforcement Officers Association and was a graduate of Southern Police Institute in Louisville, KY and the Delinquency Control Institute at the University of Southern CA. He also served on Governor Kirk Fordice's Children's Justice Task Force.\ \ He is preceded in death by his parents Niles & Maggie Wallace; father-in-law Mead Warrington and brother-in-law Thomas Crane.\ \ Survivors include his wife of 47 years Sandra Warrington Wallace of Raymond; sons Bert (Lezlin) Wallace of Pearl and Kevin Wallace of Jackson; brothers Ralph Wallace of Hebert, LA, Leonard M.
