Mrs. Laura Hobbs Yarbrough

Laura Margaret Hobbs Yarbrough, 95, passed away Friday, August 12, 2016 at her home in Terry. Visitation will be 5-8pm Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Services will be 11am Monday, August 15 in the funeral home chapel followed by interment at Terry Cemetery. Mrs. Yarbrough was born in Hinds County to the late D.L. Lewis and Mattie Hollingsworth Lewis. She was co-owner/operator of Hobbs Grocery in Terry, MS for 20 years and was known for greeting her customers with a hit to the chest. She led a full and happy life, even cutting her grass while in her 80’s. She is preceded in death by husbands, Taz Morrison, Turner Hobbs and Thomas Yarbrough; brothers, W.F and C.D. Lewis and sister Hazel Gary. Survivors include her sons, Talmadge Morrison (Shirley) of Crystal Springs and Keith Morrison (Pam) of Terry; daughters, Ann Patrick (Arlie) of Terry and Alethia Davis of Terry; five grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
