Mrs. Lavada Maxwell-Caffey

Lavada Maxwell Caffey went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at the age of 89. A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 17, 2021 at Lakewood Memorial Pak in Jackson, MS. She was born to the late Victor and Lottie Maxwell on December 12, 1931 in Brookhaven, MS. Lavada attended The School for the Blind in Jackson, MS where she met and fell in love with her husband of 65 years, Winfred Caffey. She was preceded in death by her mother and father and her husband. She is survived by two sisters, Fay Mulligan of Byram and Hilda Hupperich of Pearl; her two children, David Caffey (Corinne) of Strasburg, CO and Lynn Polk (Steve) of Terry, MS; along with four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
