Lee Gentry Wilmut

Cheryl Lee Gentry Wilmut passed into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at her home in Poplarville. She was 32 years old. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, September 13, 2021 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence and again on Tuesday, September 14th from 9:00 a.m. until the 10:00 a.m. Funeral Service in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Florence City Cemetery. Lee was born March 28, 1989 in Jackson, MS. She lived in Florence before making a home in Poplarville. She loved her family, especially her daughter, they had a truly special bond. She enjoyed photography and loved to sing, she even tried out for The Voice in Atlanta, GA. Lee is survived by the love of her life, her daughter, Savanah Lee Wilmut of Poplarville, MS; her husband, Tyler Wilmut of Poplarville, MS; her parents, David and Amy Gentry of Union, MS and Tracy and Howard Kittrell of Florence, MS; her sister, Lauren Gentry Goar and her husband, Mitch and their son, Eli of Poplarville, MS; her brother, James Cullen Gentry of Picayune, MS and his children; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and loving friends.
