Mrs. Lela Mae Broadwater

Lela Mae Broadwater, 94, passed away Friday, April 22, 2016, at her home in Terry. Visitation will be Monday, April 25 from 5-8pm and Tuesday, April 26 from 9am until the 10am service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will follow at Terry City Cemetery. Lela was a former member of New Covenant United Methodist Church in Byram. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and cross stitching. She and her sister Lucille were very talented at doll making and enjoyed giving them to family members and friends. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is preceded in death by her husband of over 40 years Harvey Broadwater; her grandson, Ernest Ray Broadwater; and sisters, Annette Matthews and Louise Patterson. Survivors include her sons, Billy Broadwater Jr. (Linda) and Mike Broadwater (Sherry) both of Terry; her daughter, Connie Bynum (Richard) of Terry; her sister, Lucille Connell (Dennis) of Raymond; 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
