Leo Edwin Mcgehee

Beloved husband, father and grandfather Leo Edwin McGehee of Florence died unexpectedly Wednesday night. A memorial service in celebration of his life will be held at Northminster Baptist Church Saturday May 7 at 2:00 PM with a visitation in the church Great Hall immediately following. Chancellor Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.\ Mississippi Van Lines, established by Leo's father, flourished with Leo's innovative business ideas. He retired three years ago turning the business over to two of his sons. \ Airplanes were an early passion, soloing at fifteen, logging 2000 hours, and flying gliders with the CAP in Switzerland. Leo built a plane (making us "the people with the airplane in their garage") that he loaded with his kids and pushed to the ice cream store just for fun. \ Leo built a lake, a barn, and a large four gable home south of Florence. Here he and Linda lived the last four years. He liked to fish, raise ducks, and talk on his HAM radio, renewing another hobby of his youth....
