Leon Parker

Leon Lamar Parker, 87, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at VA Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be 5:30-7:30pm Thursday, July 16, 2009 and 10am until the 11am funeral service Friday, July 17, 2009 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Cemetery in Pearl.\ \ Mr. Parker was a native of Quitman, MS, born March 22, 1922 to John and Katie Snyder Parker. A U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, Mr. Parker was a meat market manager for A&P Grocery. He was a member of First Baptist Byram. \ \ Survivors include his wife Dorothy Nell Parker of Jackson; sons, Billy Parker (Brenda) of Clinton and Ricky Parker (Lynn) of Jackson; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.\
