Leonard James "Jimmy" Luft, 64 , passed away Sunday, July 19, 2009 at his home in Raymond. Visitation will be 5-8pm Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Services will be 10am Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at Wynndale Baptist Church with interment to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park on Clinton Blvd. \ \ Mr. Luft was a native of Jackson, born May 3, 1945 to Leonard John and Bessie Mae Hamilton Luft. An electrical contractor, he was owner/operator of Luft Electric Inc. He served as President of N.E.C.A, member of Crosses Across America, a dedicated supporter of St. Jude's, President of the Andrew Jackson Counsel of Boy Scouts of America, member of Carpenters for Christ and Chairman of the building committee at Wynndale Baptist Church, where he also served as a Sunday School Teacher.\ \ He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Jim Luft; brothers, Billy & Mickey Luft and triplet grandchildren, Lindsey, Jackson and Tyler Dykes.\ \ Survivors include his wife Margie of Raymond; daughters, Wendy Luft Dykes (Brian) of Terry and Janie Luft Robinson (Cheyne) of Terry; grandchildren, Jackson Tyler Dykes, Kara Bess & Cooper Robinson.\ \ In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wynndale Baptist Church Building Fund at 11287 Springridge Rd., Terry, MS 39170 or Crosses Across America at 3300 Indiana Ave.,Vicksburg,MS 39180.
