Letha Morris

Letha Hazel Morris, 78, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be 5-8pm Thursday, November 3, 2011 and 10am until the 11am funeral service Friday, November 4, 2011 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.\ \ Mrs. Morris, the last of 14 siblings, was raised in Braxton, MS but spent most of her life in Jackson. She was a beautician by profession but also worked for the MS State Tax Commission. Most notably, Mrs. Morris was active in the Parchman Prison Ministry. \ \ Mrs. Morris is preceded in death by her husband, Alton Morris. Survivors include her son, Terry Smith of Jackson, daughter, Sherry Stroud of Raymond, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.\ \ On line guest book available at www.chancellorfuneralhome.com.\
