Lewis Kilgore

Lewis C. Kilgore, Jr., 85, passed away Thursday, June 10, 2010 at CMMC in Jackson. Visitation will be 6-8pm Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram.Services will be 3pm Sunday, June 13, 2010 in the funeral home chapel, with a one hour visitation prior to the service. Interment to follow at Garden of Memories in Florence.\ \ Mr. Kilgore was born July 24, 1924 to Lewis C. and Zitella Shankle Kilgore, Sr. A Veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War. Mr. Kilgore had lived in Raymond since 1995 having come from Minter City, MS. He was a farm manager for Arant Farms and a member of Parkside Baptist Church in Byram, MS.\ \ Mr. Kilgore is preceded in death by son, Daniel Ray Clark and brothers, Jesse, Hugh, and Robert Kilgore.\ \ Survivors include his wife Dixie Ann Kilgore of Raymond; sons, Jerry Kilgore of Kansas City, MO and John Steven Clark of Milton, FL; daughters, Carol McCarty of Raymond and Diana Barbee of Madison; sisters, Louise Onstott of Kansas City, KS and Marie Leonard of Jonesboro, AR; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.\
