Mrs. Lillian "Daphyne" Felts Nixon

Lillian “Daphyne” Felts Nixon, 90, passed away Monday, October 31, 2016 at Willow Creek Nursing Home in Byram. Visitation will be 4pm until the 6pm Memorial Service Friday, November 4, 2016 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Mrs. Nixon was born in Jackson, MS to the late Samuel Monroe Simmons and Opal Modene Lackey Simmons. She was a lifelong resident of Jackson and member of Southside Assembly of God. She enjoyed taking care of her parents, which was her passion in life. Mrs. Nixon retired from South Central Bell as a clerk in the Engineering Department. She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Lee G. “Sonny” Felts and Leslie Ray Nixon; son, Lee “Sonny” Felts and granddaughter Gabrielle Ivy Felts. Survivors include her children, Becky Felts Sullivan (Wayne) of Terry, MS, Stan & Valerie Felts of Ormond Beach, FL and Leslie Nixon Null (John) of Ridgeland, MS; 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
