Linda Toups Moss

Linda Toups Moss, 71, entered the gates of heaven on August 16, 2024. She was born on January 18, 1953 in Jennings, Louisiana, to the late Wilton and Cecile Toups. 

She was a business owner within the construction industry. She was born and raised in Louisiana and Texas but eventually moved to Rankin County, the place she called home for thirty-four years. She was also a member of First Baptist Church of Richland. Her hobbies included playing BINGO, bowling, painting, crafting, and sewing. She loved spending time with her children, including her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had several favorite Bible verses, including Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Moss, as well as two sisters, Jo Ann Toups and Barbara Toups Ferguson. 

She is survived by her daughters, Angela M. Picard, Melissa (Jamie) Hill, and Paula (Jeff) Lawson; her sister, Peggy Toups; her brother, Wilton Toups; her grandchildren, Melinda Isbell, Brittany Frank, Kourtney Winn, Breanna Winn, Austin Hill, Ashton Hill, Hailey Horton, Madeline Horton, Ethan Lawson, and Shawn Lawson; and her great grandchildren, Anna Grace Isbell, Hunter Isbell, Easton Isbell, Jase Isbell, Joseph Waites, Isabellia Patrizzi, Jaxon Frank, Zane Frank, Brayden Winn, Freya Donald, and Hudson Winn. 

Her visitation will take place on Saturday, August 24, 2024, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence, Mississippi. Her service will follow at 11:00 am in the chapel of Chancellor Funeral Home.
