After a heroic battle with cancer, Linda L. Thomas Osborne, age 66, died on Monday, March 19, 2018 at her home in Florence, MS. She was born in Beckley, WV to Homer and Dorothy Eloise (Leadingham) Thomas. Linda was a proud wife and mother and spent most of her time doing activities related to her three grandsons, of whom she was very proud. She enjoyed decorating, fashion, horticulture and watching the hummingbirds from her beautiful deck. She worked as a bank teller and later as a sleep technologist. She loved her job and helping people. She also volunteered at the Big Thrift in Florence and was devoted not only to her own pets, but to any animal in need. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her loving husband of 40 years, Larry C. Osborne. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Thomas of Florence. Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Kristy (Eddie) Simmons of Florence and Lisa Fuson of Saxon, WV; one son, Gan (Brandi) Osborne of Hoover, AL; three grandsons, River Braswell, Teagan Fuson Simmons and Milo Fuson Simmons, all of Florence; one brother, Gerald Thomas of New Hebron, MS; and three sisters, Tresa (Ed) Lee of Panama City Beach, FL, Dorothy (Jerry) Kitchens and Debra Thomas both of Florence. Also left to cherish her memory is an amazing extended family, her great friends and neighbors, her caring work family and her precious in-law family. She was blessed with immeasurable support from all of these people. A Celebration of Life for friends and family will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 5 -7 pm at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence, MS.
