Mrs. Linda Stapp

Linda Stapp,65, passed away Friday, August 23, 2013 at Regency Hospital in Jackson. Visitation will be Sunday, August 25, 2013 from 5-8pm and Monday, August 26, 2013 from 10am until the 11am service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Burial will follow at Terry Cemetery. Linda was born in McComb, MS. She was a homemaker also providing an in home day care, raising not only her children but many others. She was a longtime member of Forest Hill Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her daughter Melinda Stapp; parents Roy and Bonnie Slay. Survivors include her husband of 41 years Leslie Stapp of Jackson; son Les (Misty) Stapp of Brandon; daughter Bonnie (Dave) Guthrie of Pearl; brother Roy Lee Slay, Jr of McComb; sisters Brenda Johnson of Osyka, MS and Beth McMorris of McComb; and six grandchildren.
