Linda Dendy Watts

Linda Dendy Watts, 60, passed away at Hospice Ministries on Monday, September 3, 2012, after a battle with kidney cancer. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 5, 2012, 5-8pm at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Funeral service will be in the chapel at Chancellor, 10am on Thursday, September 6, with visitation one hour before the service. Burial will be at Lakewood south.\ \ Linda was a proud 1970 graduate of Forest Hill H.S. She retired from UMC after 25 yrs., then worked at the Education Center School until the time of her illness.\ \ An Active songwriter for many years, Linda produced numerous "songwriter nights" in the Jackson area. She served as President of the Nashville Songwriters Assoc. (in Jackson) for several years, and was a staff writer for MOJO Magazine.\ \ She is survived by her sons, Kevin Hemphill and Andy Watts (& Jessica), her mother Louise Dendy, a brother and sister-in-law Glenn & Glenda Dendy, and nephew and niece Michael and Allison Dendy.
