Mrs. Lisa Taylor,51, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 29th from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Hickory Ridge Baptist Church in Florence, MS. The service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with burial to follow at Sinai Cemetery. Lisa was born on December 2, 1969 in Jackson, MS to Ernest William French Jr. and Linda Lowry French. She grew up in South Jackson, and lived in Richland with her beloved husband, Sam Taylor. Lisa graduated from Belhaven College. She worked most of her life in the Public Library System and as a Public-school librarian. She was a member of Hickory Ridge Baptist Church in Florence, and attended Hazel Baptist Church in Lake, MS where her husband pastors. She loved her children, Emily Rose, Anna Claire, and Matthew Austin, her family, her mother, Linda Lowry French Baylot Richard, and her Savior Jesus Christ as well as her dogs, Wimzy, Fluff, Jack, Beckham, and her Mother’s dog Bitsy Louise. Milo was her grand cat that she loved so deeply. Cross Stitching was one of her favorite things to do. She was an avid reader and always loved a good book. Along with her father, she is also preceded in death by her grandparents, Francis and Wallace Lowry; and great grandparents, Paul and Hilda Coker. She is survived by her loving husband, Rev. Sam Taylor of Richland; mother, Linda (Conrad) Richard of Richland; children, Emily, Anna Claire, and Mathew Taylor all of Richland; her half-sister, Claire Wicker of Baton Rouge, LA; aunt, Kathryn Lowry of Denver, CO; sister-in-law, Debbie Taylor O’Neal (Keith) of Raymond, MS; niece, Whitley O’Neal of Oxford, MS;2 nephews, Jacob O’Neal of Seattle, WA, and Simon O’Neal of Raymond, MS’ and uncle, Douglas French of Alexander City, AL.
