Mr. Lloyd "Boots" Brewer

Lloyd “Boots” Martin Brewer, 73, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at the State Veterans Home in Kosciusko. Visitation will be 12pm- 2pm with funeral services at 2pm Friday, November 4, 2016 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will follow at Bolton Cemetery. Mr. Brewer was born in Bolton, MS to the late Sterling and Paralee Posey Brewer. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was a former resident of the Jackson/Bolton area, retiring as Farm Manager after 35 years of loyal service, from Cal-Maine Foods. He was an avid fan of NASCAR and owned Brewer’s Racing Team. Mr. Brewer enjoyed spending time with his friends, playing dominos and truly ENJOYED LIFE! He was big hearted and a friend to the friendless. He was a member of Bolton Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother Myles Brewer. Survivors include his daughter Martie Brewer Vaughn (Rev. Kevin) of Philidelphia; sister, Faye Cooper of Bolton; brother Jim Brewer of Raymond; 3 grandchildren, Ansley, Brewer and Carlyn Vaughn.
