Lloyd Ellis

Lloyd Donald Ellis, 54 , passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be 5-8pm Friday, February 1, 2013 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram and 10am until the11am funeral service Saturday, February 2, at New Life Apostolic Church, 2226 TV Rd. in Jackson. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories in Florence.\ \ Mr. Ellis was born in Norwood, Massachusetts to the late Donald C. & Juanita A. Ellis. He attended Southeastern Regional Vocational-Technical High School in Massachusetts from 1972-1976 and attended MS State University acquiring a BS degree in Electrical Engineering and Millsaps College acquiring a MBA degree. On June 7, 1986, Lloyd married Sherri LaJuan Minton, and they have one child, Donald Joseph Ellis, born in 1992. His work career included working for Merrill Lynch as a Stock Broker, an Engineer and currently as Program Manager at Eaton Aerospace. Lloyd was past Board Member, current Corporate Secretary, and Charter Member of New Life Apostolic Church. He also enjoyed being a drummer and videographer at New Life.\ \ Mr. Ellis loved the Lord Jesus Christ, and he dedicated his life to living and studying the Word of God. He stood for truth, integrity and honesty. He was a true man of God whose advice to all was: Fear God, keep His commandments, and forgive.\ \ He is preceded in death by his parents Donald & Juanita Ellis and father-in-law Joseph Minton.\ \ Survivors include his wife Sherri and son Joseph Ellis of Bolton; mother-in-law Ann Minton of Bolton; sisters Brenda LeDoux (Al) of Jackson, Bonnie Hankins of Richland; nephews Jeremy LeDoux (Michelle) of Bossier City, LA, Ben Barnett (Adina) of Abu Dhabi, U.A.E.; niece Melody Barnett of Clinton; great nephews Adrian & Anderson LeDoux of Bossier City, LA, and Elias Barnett of Abu Dhabi, U.A.E.; great niece Natalia Barnett of Abu Dhabi, U.A.E.\ \ On line guest book available at www.chancellorfuneralhome.com.\
