Lois Sharp

Lois Sharp, 88, passed away at St. Dominic Hospital, Tuesday, January 8, 2013. Lois was born in St. Tammany Parish, LA April 24, 1924 to Rev. Wilson L. Sharp and Mary Fauntleroy Sharp. She was preceded in death by both parents and sister Nellie Penton, Bush, LA and brother Donald Sharp, Brandon, MS. she is survived by three sisters: Miriam Elmore, West Point, MS, Mattie R. Chalk, Anniston, AL, Theda Howell, Raymond, MS.\ \ Lois retired from the Desoto Company in 1982 after 25 years of service.\ \ Lois was actively involved in church bus ministry, beginning with the Bailey Avenue Church of God, and the Elton Woods Church of God for 27 years. She touched many young lives and saw young children grow up and marry and their children ride her bus.\ \ Lois has resided at Willow Creek Retirement Center in Byram for the past four years.\ \ Lois was happiest when she was involved in Christian fellowship. Her Christian legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. \ \ Visitation will be 5-8pm Friday, January 11, 2013 and 10am until the 11am funeral service Saturday, January 12, all at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will follow at Lakewood South.\
