Mrs. Lois Miller Webb

Lois Miller Webb, 78, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be Friday, March 6th from 5-7 PM and Saturday, March 7th from 1 PM until the 3 PM Funeral Service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow at Florence City Cemetery. Mrs. Webb graduated from Florence High School as the valedictorian of her class. While attending FHS, she met and eventually married her sweetheart, Joe Webb. She enjoyed keeping up with her classmates and would organize all of the class reunions. Mrs. Webb worked for many years at Deposit Guaranty as a switchboard operator. She retired early and helped with her daughter’s milk route. She enjoyed meeting new people while at the grocery stores and was a diligent worker. Always a perfectionist, everything had to be just right. Mrs. Webb enjoyed cooking and always baked cakes, cookies, and brownies for her friends and loved ones. She loved jewelry and would pick on her family members, acting like she wanted what they were wearing. Mrs. Webb also loved sports. Her favorite team was Ole Miss and never missed a televised game. She would always call her sister and they would discuss the games after they were over. Mrs. Webb is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Joseph Webb and her brother, Louie Cooper. She is survived by her children, Tim (Teresa) Webb of Florence and Chantay Webb Steen of Florence; sister, Ramona McDonald of Florence, grandchildren, Shondra (Matt) Thomas, Matthew Ingle, and Joseph Steen; great grandchildren, Blake and Emma Ingle; nieces and nephews, Johnnie Mae and Ken Harrison and Kathy Bomer , Judy, Diana and Mike and other extended family.
